Weekend at CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC)

“Let’s get back here next weekend” exclaimed my nine-year-old nephew Lec-lec.

“We’ll be back here soon, right Nanay” resonated my eight-year-old son Gaju.

The kids just can't get enough of CWC. They just loved it. We adults also loved it too!

Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex or CWC is located at the Capitol Complex of Pili, Camarines Sur (visit http://www.cwcwake.com/ for more info). With our private vehicle, it took us only about 15 minutes from Naga City (minus the traffic brought about by the Feast of Our Lady of Penafrancia) to reach the place. We were there this weekend of Sept. 18 and 19 for the celebration of the 300th year of Our Lady of Penafrancia and we had our accomodations at the Tiki Huts of CWC for only P800.00 per day.
My son together with his cousins spent their Saturday night and their Sunday afternoon from 3 o'clock in the afternoon ‘til 6 o'clock in the evening swimming at the pool. The rate is affordable at P130.00 for day swimming for kids (P150 for adults) and P100.00 for night swimming. They loved the spacious area where they can run after each other or just laze around and watch the other activities around them. When nightime came, they still had the energy to play on line with their computers since the whole of CWC is Wifi ready.

One could also enjoy CWC’s Lakeside massage for only P300.00 which is done in an open hut near the pool area or have the massage in his/her room for only P350.00.

We also enjoyed the food. They were sumptuous, in generous servings, and reasonably-priced. We tried the Bicolano pizza which is pizza topped with “laing (Taco leaves)”, shrimp paste (i think), and gata (coconut cream), and lots of cheese. ‘twas delicious! I myself, a Bicolana, never thought that the “ginataang laing” and “bagoong” would blend well with cheese and would taste good over a pizza dough. They seem to melt on your mouth and melting while you chew on the thin dough. Its only for P220.00. Thanks to whoever thought of creating such truly Bicolano pizza.
We tried lots of other food on the menu, for lunch we were able to try crispy pata (two orders), sinigang na baboy, chicken inasal, pork sisig, pork barbeque, efrraim’s salad, kilawing tanguigue, tanguigue steak, and CWC pizza. We were pretty happy, ‘coz the bill was only about P2,050.00 including our beers. For breakfast we were able to savor beef tapa, chicken noodle, chicken sandwich, daing na bangus. They all tasted great and the serving is generous --- we called it American serving – they can be shared by two, you just have order extra rice.

We definitely have to come back. My son insists that we should be back so he could try wakeboarding and the Lago El Rey Aqua Park the next time. I also insist, ‘coz I just got to order again the Bicolano pizza!
